Pam Hawf

Hall of Fame
Induction Year: 2019
Fan/Volunteer

Pam Hawf has been an avid West Lyon fan, parent and athletic sports helper/volunteer for over 30 years. She has given generously of her time to keep official book and clock for volleyball, football and basketball games, as well as helped with track and cross country meets over the years. In 2014, when the West Lyon Boys Basketball team participated in the state basketball tournament, Pam was selected
and recognized as the West Lyon “Fan of the Game”. Pam was highlighted in the “Winter Preview” publication, produced by New Century
Press, in the fall of 2018. In that article, Jessica Jensen wrote: “Enthusiasm for the game. Commitment to her high school alma mater. An avenue for giving back. These might all be reasons Pam Hawf continues as the keeper of the official score book for West Lyon basketball, a role she started 30 years ago, almost on a whim when her oldest daughter started playing. “The athletic director at the time just said
to me, ‘Would you ever be interested in keeping the book?’ I said, ‘Well, I don’t have a clue how to do it.’ But one night I just started it with freshman and junior varsity and eventually jumped into varsity,” Hawf explained.” In the article, Pam expressed that over the years she has valued the relationships she has had the opportunity to
build with fellow book and clock keepers from West Lyon and other schools, the officials, coaches and athletes. West Lyon is fortunate that Pam still has a passion for these sport activities and for
helping out. Congratulations Pam on this Hall of Fame Induction and Recognition.
